China and the world are getting closer. The world is having a more vivid and clear understanding of China. A long history, brilliant cultures, diligent people and full vitality all compose the beautiful landscape of China in the world.

While in China, many foreigners are attracted by the vibrant scenes here. The journalist interviewed 100 foreigners from 16 countries. And they all said they were fascinated by the profound Chinese culture. They felt a huge potential for business opportunities in China and witnessed the happy life of the Chinese people.

Long history and advanced cultures

As far as Bill Jones, a journalist with the U.S. magazine Executive, saw it, China was a big country with a long history, advanced cultures and highly distinctive features. China has a large population. The Chinese people are hard-working and good at learning. China also had a long history of culture. These were all its advantages.

The way to a well-off society

Speaking of the quick development of China, Leonora Torres, Secretary of the Mexico-China Friendship Association, felt amazed. "In the past 38 years, I have witnessed the amazing changes in China，especially its progress in science and technology," she said, "When I came to China for the first time, I saw a lot of large-scale water conservancy facilities under construction. Numerous Chinese workers were working hard with their hands and shoulders at the sites. Today I come to China again, and what I see at the construction sites are big machines and equipment with computer systems. A tall building can be completed within a short time. In addition, the street sights have changed a lot, compared to a month ago. This is astonishing. The life of people in rural areas has also improved greatly thanks to the scientific and technological power. From all these phenomena, we can see the greatness of the Communist Party of China. Without its leadership, such progress would have been impossible."

Enhanced international influence

Sani Moussa, a research fellow with the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, said Chinese people contribute to the local economy wherever they go. Meanwhile, they proactively took up the social obligations and international responsibilities there. With a large population of 1.3 billion people, China has made such brilliant achievements on its own. This has won the admiration of people all over the world.

The bright and promising future of China

"China will enjoy a bright and promising future." "China will surely become powerful in the future". "Chinese people are full of hope toward the future." "I have full confidence about China's future."……The remarkable achievements of China have won the confidence of the world. Meanwhile, the broad outlook of China has also brought new opportunities to the world.

Among the 100 people from 16 countries interviewed, many of them displayed a gleeful look on their face when they responded to the question about China's future. Before this, they commented positively on the great success China has made on its development path and highly praised the dynamic situation in China at present. In looking into the future, they invariably used words like "bright" and "promising."

Firm confidence

"China has an immeasurable future. It will produce significant influence on the world," said Walla Wu, a member of Thai Local Administration Committee. Walla Wu's judgment is quite representative. Most of the interviewees noted that they were optimistic about China and confident about China's future.

Keen expectation

"The rapid development of China will definitely bring opportunities to the world," said Fanjul, a Spanish government official. All insightful foreign people are anticipating a bright future of China.

Cooperating with China means common prosperity

"To strengthen the relations with China will generate better development opportunities." Many foreigners expressed their keen anticipation for the cooperation with China when interviewed. They maintained that China, with a promising outlook, would benefit all its partners, so it was only a natural choice to seize the opportunities to cooperate with China. It was commonly recognized that understanding and cooperation were the means to develop bilateral relations, and cultural exchange was the bond to consolidate the relations between countries.

Suggestions and thoughts

Speaking of the possible challenges that China may be confronted with in its future development, the foreign interviewees voiced their thoughts and suggestions and demonstrated their close attention to, and concern about, the emerging economy and dynamically developing country.

It is noted that, currently, China is committed to expediting the transformation of the mode of economic development. A Spanish civil servant named Paula responded directly to this, concluding that China's production system will be elevated to a new level.

Jiang Xianmei, president of the Mongolia Overseas Chinese Friendship School, expounded more on this issue. She believes that since ensuring people's livelihood and promoting development is aim of Chinese leaders, China should maintain steady and rapid economic development on one hand and accelerate the transformation of economic development mode on the other hand, so as to pursue an innovative path towards industrialization featuring high-tech content, good economic return, low resource consumption, low environmental pollution and full display of manpower advantages.

Moreover, China needs to attach great importance to raising the capability to make independent scientific and technological innovations, better coordinate the development among regions as well as between rural and urban areas, and strengthen the effort to build a harmonious society.
