Today we will talk about China. On the 1st of October, the People’s Republic of China will be celebrating its 60th anniversary. Earlier this year, world media commemorated the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989, while this date went mostly unnoticed in China itself. How do the Chinese see their recent history and how does it affect their present time? We’ll be talking about this with prominent Russian sinologist, Aleksandr Pantsov.
